Verifying an active, responsive mobile phone number is attached to each account. Shuttershare is able to collect and reroute phone numbers to verify users but keep your number private when communicating.

Rentals can not proceed without an insurance policy chosen or submitted by the renter which has been approved by the provider.
Insurance documentation is available for review before rental requests need to be accepted. The Shuttershare team is also available to assist with verifying insurance documentation.
Upload your policy documents in advance of the rental for review and confirmation by the provider. No need to purchase any additional insurance through Shuttershare when bringing your own.
We also encourage each Shuttershare community member to do their own research on renters. Review or ask for social media information and ask questions to ensure a high level of comfort with the transaction.
Take pictures and or videos which depict the core functionality of each piece of equipment. Ensure they are taken on a device that can timestamp the photos or videos such as your phone camera.
Review and photograph the renter's ID when they arrive. If the ID does not reflect the name listed on the rental, contact Shuttershare customer service via our website or email email@example.com.
As a renter or a lister you witness any damage to equipment it must be reported to Shuttershare within 24 hours. Use the claim submission portal found within the footer of the Shuttershare site or contact Shuttershare customer service.
